This website serves as an organisation tool for the 2nd joined observing program. Once observing time has been allocated, the observers can communicate their desired observing parameters for all instruments involved by uploading their files into a database. The planners are automatically presented with all necessary information for each planning period from this database and may then deliver final planning files into a second database. Observer's files and planning files in this databases can be viewed and, if needed, updated from this website. Ideally, any communication between observers and planners by email should not be necessary.
Depending whether you come as an observer or a planner, you may proceed from here by one of the following links (also given in the left-hand menu):
Schedule - Observer - Click here if you are an observer and observing time has been allocated to your program. You will find a table with an observing schedule in which you can identify your observing program and allocated time slots. Click on your program and find an upload form. In there you fill out a form and upload your free-format ascii-file containing all necessary information for the planner. Do this for each continuous time period your program has been scheduled for (in case there is more than one).
Schedule - Planner - Click here if you are a planner and you want to prepare the planning files for an instrument and a specific time period. You will find a schedule in which already defined planning periods are marked. Click on one if you wish to edit a planning, or click a link to start editing a new planning. After specifying the planning period, all observer's files with observing information for the time period falling within this planning period are presented to the planner automatically.
