re some brief responses for our modeling support of WHI... Pete WHI MODELS: SAIC's MAS Model and CISM's CORHEL Model 1) Provide the type of phenomenon modeled (i.e. ring current, solar wind, substorms, interstellar pickup ions, etc.) Global ambient structure or the solar corona and inner heliosphere (out to 5 AU). 2) Provide region covered by the model (i.e. magnetotail, L=2 to 5, .1 to 4 solar radii, termination shock) From Solar Surface (r=1 Rs) to 5 AU, covering all latitudes and longitudes (Enlil modeling of heliosphere may be limited to +/- 60 latitude) 3) Provide dates of WHI observations that the model will cover CR2068: 03/19/2008 - 04/16/2008 4) Provide summary plots or images produced by the model A comprehensive set of data, figures, and analysis tools will be provided through our website (iMHD.net), such as coronal hole boundaries, spacecraft mappings back to the solar surface, the location of the heliospheric current sheet, simulated white light and emission images, synoptic white light images, the Alfven speed in the corona, times series at the location of STEREO A/B and Earth, and 3-D visualizations of the corona and heliosphere. 5) List publications or website describing the model (i.e. anything that may be helpful in understanding the model) Lionello, R., Linker, J. A., and Miki´c, Z. (2001). Including the transition region in models of the large-scale solar corona. ApJ, 546(1):542. Pete Riley, J. A. Linker, and Z.
