Heliospheric Current Sheet Crossings (from Jack Gosling):

Here are the times of the HCS crossings as observed by ACE a bit before and after the start and end times of CROT 2068. The crossing times are based on changes in the flow polarity of the surpathermal electron strahl and generally coincide with field rotations that one would probably also identify as crossing of the HCS. But the strahl measurements are definitive whereas the field rotations are not.

April 15 0030 UT start of ICME with counterstreaming strahls, with strongest beam at PA 180˚
April 16 0030 UT end of ICME, return to outward directed field (+)
April 22 1430 UT + to - HCS crossing

Times should be good to better than ~ +/- 5 minutes.

March 26 0820 UT + to - HCS crossing = minute 500.

	* April 2 16:52:02 = CLONG 180. = minute 1012

	**HCS cross = 180. - (1540-1012)*0.00914077 = CLONG 175


April 15 1230 UT start of ICME with counterstreaming strahls, with strongest beam at PA 180# = 750 + 1440 = 2190 from 00 UT Apr 14

	*ICME = 20. - (2190 - 1184)*0.00914077 =  CLONG 11

April 16 0030 UT end of ICME, return to outward directed field (+) = 1440 + 30 = 1470 from 00 UT Apr 15
